Definition of sole: a fully saturated solution of water and crystal salt. The water becomes saturated when it no longer dissolves any more salt.

Definition of sole: a fully saturated solution of water and crystal salt. The water becomes saturated when it no longer dissolves any more salt. At this point, the salt crystals remain undissolved in the water indicating that the solution has reached saturation which is at 26 per cent.1 When water and salt merge, we have sole (pronounced so-lay). We need salt to live, but ironically, salt can also be detrimental to our health. The reason is very simple – our regular table salt has no longer anything in common with the original crystal salt.
