Osteoporosis affects one in three women over the age of 50. The World Health Organisation designated this as the second leading global health care problem after cardiovascular disease. Bone is a living tissue which is constantly in a process of renewal. In the case of osteoporosis, bone structure and density breakdown occur faster than bone regeneration as one ages, causing bones to become porous, thin and weak to the point they become prone to injury fracture. Common points of fracture are the hip, wrist and spine. What is the answer?
