My off-duty delight was always in the garden as gardening gave me a rich sense of belonging to nature. A garden is a landscape escape waiting to be designed to one’s seasonal fantasy and imagination. My hard work and vision of the herbal healing garden kept me going for years around my old 1890 old kauri house.
I had an acre of land to play with, so I designed different areas around the house and planted a medicinal garden, a culinary garden, an antiseptic patch, a feminine tonic patch, a garden area for birds, a veggie garden, a herbal wheel garden, an immune herbal tonic patch, a meditation spot and a relaxing, sedative scented pocket under a flowering pergoda complete with garden seat, as well as building a shade house to grow seedlings.
