Ginger Root

Ginger Root, for those aches and pains
This amazing herb has so many properties for relieving aches and pains, whilst having the ability to relief colds, flu, digestive disorders, bloating and nausea. A must in every kitchen cupboard as a cooking enhancer and as a first aid remedy. You can make the tea for internal antibacterial use and yet apply a simple poultice to apply to aching joints to bring about relief for rheumatoid arthritis, and bone pain.

Ginger (zingiber officinale) is commonly used for nausea and motion sickness, but has become more widely accepted in treatment for relieving rheumatoid arthritis. The anti-inflammatory mechanism in ginger is thought to involve the inhibition of prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis to bring about rheumatic pain relief. The use of Ginger in treating arthritis and rheumatism has a long history in Ayurvedic medicine (traditional Indian) and Kempo (traditional Japanese) healing methods, along with the Tibb (traditional Muslim) system of medicine. With the Chinese recording the medicinal use of Ginger as far back as the fourth century AD.
