Visiting Greek physicians to Egypt acquired the knowledge of using essential oils and discovered that highly aromatic plants possessed stimulating or edifying properties.

Arabs extracted essential oils around the 10th century and used them medicinally. The Knights of the Crusades not only bought aromatic essences back to Europe, but used the healing properties of plant oils such as St Johns wort to treat battle wounds.

These days, taking a shower after a work out, is not only one of the best things to do for your wellbeing, it’s a simple way in which to appreciate the benefits of using essential oils. It will not only make you feel good, but all those negative ions you will inhale will become beneficial. One help is the reduction of lactic acid that causes our muscles to ache.
