Castor Oil - the oil that heals
The therapeutic use of castor oil packs was re-discovered by Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) and is regarded by traditional nurses and naturopaths around the world as a very effective healing method, because of it’s anti-microbial and anti-anti-inflammatory properties.

Ideal in all inflammatory conditions as an applied pack to reduce inflammation, such as inflamed liver, aching joints, swollen lymph glands, knee joints, dry scalp, menstrual cramps, skin acne, chronic pain relief, but in serious constipation an internal dose is required for relief.

Castor oil packs are extremely useful for external use for softening any hardened tissues or breaking up congestion in the glands, although castor oil should never be taken internally, unless you seriously need a laxative. It is very effective for external use as it penetrates through the skin to underlying tissues to reduce inflammation. Worthwhile relief can be obtained in cases such as still and/or gritty knee joints, inflamed elbows and tight achilles tendons.
