Birth Interventions
The main issue is the philosophical difference between midwives and obstetricians. Midwives view pregnancy and the natural process of birthing as a normal part of life’s passage. They rely on their intuitive skills, hands, eyes and ears plus hearts, whereas obstetricians believe their technology to be more accurate, effective and reliable than any human can be.

Bringing Up Kids
Our first child arrived a month early and was given Homeopathic Arnica and Rescue Remedy very soon after birth. He was checked by an orthopaedic consultant and was found to have two mildly clicky hips and two days after birth the paediatric consultant found that he had a heart murmur as well.

Apricot Kernels
Many older folk will no doubt remember that when our grandmother made apricot jam, they would pop some of the pits into the jam whilst cooking it. The reason was given was that they added more flavour to the jam, nevertheless the children were encouraged to eat these whenever they cam across them in the jam.
